After training at Prime Mover for 18 months, Diana felt it was time to kick things up a notch. She had seen great progress when she first started, but slowly the weight started to creep back on. Although she was still attending four MetAttack classes a week, her nutrition had gotten away from her and she was feeling pretty rubbish all around!
Once she decided enough was enough, she took the leap and signed up for our women’s strength training program, the Aphrodite Project, and it’s a good thing she did as her results speak for themselves.
Diana lost a whopping…
13.5cm from her abdomen, 5.5cm from her waist, 5cm from her hips, and 3.6kg in weight.

What was your experience on the Aphrodite Project like?
AMAZING. I absolutely loved every minute. I found it challenging but I was encouraged all the way through, even when I was the one lifting the least weight in a session I felt supported.
What did you expect going into the program VS how it actually was?
I actually didn’t know what to expect in terms of results and what it entailed. Over time I had heard people talk about it favourably, but I thought it might be a bit ‘cliquey’ to be honest. However, it absolutely wasn’t. I had to move my class times around a few times, so I was able to train with different people and enjoyed training with everyone!
What was your favourite thing about the program?
Apart from the results, I would say doing get ups for the first time without using my hands. As well as doing exercises I had never done before and never thought I would even attempt, such as pull-ups and the extreme sport that is Box Jumps. It was also good fun with lots of laughs in the sessions.
Did you have any worries when starting the program? How did it pan out once you started?
My injuries, those who know me, know I have many, lol, but as with all prime mover classes, things were adapted to accommodate me which allowed me to still achieve results.
Would you do it again? If so, what do you hope to achieve going forward?
Oh yes, I would like to get more muscle definition in my arms, reduce the size of my bum, and tone my tummy. I’d also like to be able to lift heavier weights.
Would you recommend the Aphrodite Project to other ladies?
Yes 100%. If they considering it or have hit a plateau with their routine, I reckon it’s the best thing to kick start things back into action. The trainers Laura and Dom were so motivating and encouraging. My goal when I started this programme was ‘not to be fat at 53.’ I had lapsed into some really bad habits in terms of my nutrition and despite coming to gym 4 times a week, I managed to put at least a stone on, weighing more than I’d weighed since having my son who is 14. I felt disappointed in myself and knew enough was enough. That’s why I did Aphrodite. I’m going be 53 this week and I reckon doing AP paid off!
Us trainers have to agree with you Diana, it has certainly paid off. We are super proud of you and can’t wait to see how you continue to progress!
