When Alison first began the 10 Weeks to Lean (10WTL) program with a goal of losing body fat she was pretty sceptical about the nutrition guidance I had given her. She was more than happy with the training, but thought surely there was no way she could increase her calories by nearly 1,000 like I had her do AND still lose weight?
I asked her to just trust me and try it for a few weeks, and if she found that it wasn’t for her she could always return to her old way of doing things. Well, I’m happy to say Alison stuck it out the whole way through and in 10 weeks she lost 10 lbs, 14.5cm from her abs, 9cm from her waist, and 6.5cm from her hips!
She went on to lose even more with the follow-up 6 week program and is continuing to see progress physically and in her fitness levels even now. Alison has shared her experience on the program below…
What was your favourite part about the 10WTL program?
I loved the variety of the exercises and that every exercise was hitting multiple areas (to my mind, this is multitasking). In addition, all muscle groups are covered in each session, so it’s a complete body workout.
Were you happy with your physical transformation on the program?
I couldn’t have been happier. Hopefully you will see from the pictures, that the transformation was incredible. I was so pleased that I went on to do the next program and lost more weight and inches.
How did your mindset around nutrition change during this program?
For me, this was one of the biggest impacts of the program. Prior to 10WTL I had been ‘living’ on between 600 and 900 calories a day, being too tired to train some days, and had the view that increased exercise, and eating less equated to results.
We have all heard that the body goes into starvation mode, and holds onto everything, but despite this I was still sticking to my 600-900 calories per day. So when I started the 10WTL nutrition, I was really very scared and completely sceptical as to whether it would work. I promised Kristin I would give it a try, and if it didn’t work I could go back to the way I was eating before whilst still doing the exercise program.
So this is now a way of life for me, I’m eating almost 1500 calories a day and it’s still working really well. The biggest impact is realising exactly how many grams of protein, carbs and fat something contains, and using that to help make better choices both at home and when eating out.
Would you recommend this program to other women? If so, why?
Absolutely – do it, you have nothing to lose except inches and lbs!
It’s a team effort as well; the other ladies on the program really help to encourage each other, with nutrition tips, and also support during the training sessions.
What achievement are you most proud of accomplishing during the 10 weeks?
Changing my body shape, and losing that stomach! I have become a lot stronger, and I’m able to perform better in the other gym classes as I’ve achieved increased fitness overall. I can honestly say I feel 10WTL has changed my life. It’s the best investment I’ve made in myself this year.
Hearing Alison speak about her experience on my program puts the biggest smile on my face. All of the girls who have done the program say they have hugely benefited from it.
Although they have all seen brilliant physical transformations, many of them say the biggest benefit has been what they’ve learned about nutrition and training, which they can carry on with for life.
If this program sounds like something you would enjoy (and you will, I promise!), then head HERE and leave your information to hop on our next one which will last six weeks and take you right up to the holiday season. Hope to see y’all there!
