Hey Movers, I have a pretty special post to share with you all today. If you’re someone who feels held back in some way or that you are simply ready to take your life to the next level (so, basically everyone!), then you need to give this story a read.
If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting or working with Tim, then you’ll know just how special he is. The work Tim does is something so powerful and life-changing that I have witnessed firsthand on both of the Prime Mover Retreats.
I’ve watched people turn up to the Prime Mover Retreats full of things like fear, anxiety, and self-doubt just to name a few, leave the retreat feeling empowered, self-assured, and noticeably happier.
Check out Tim’s inspiring story below about how he turned his whole life around and how the work he does could do the same for you…
1) Tell us a bit about yourself, your background, and what brought you to the work you do now.
To make a very long story short, when I was 7-years-old I was bullied by a teacher. Since I had been playing up at school a bit, my parents didn’t believe me when I told them what had happened. This destroyed me at the time and I went into a very dark place as a result. I was so distraught that I was mute for a few weeks, refusing to speak to anyone and basically shutting the world out. This resulted in me having symptoms of PTSD – I had nightmares, day-mares, echoing voices in my head. I had anxiety and depression which carried through into my youth.
At the age of 16, some friends and I were chased by a gang and cornered. When they saw we were kids they let us go, but it terrified me and kicked off my PTSD again. I didn’t go out for a long while and was still scared to go out well into my 30’s.
In my mid 20’s I literally found myself in the crazy world of clubbing. I became a podium dancer, a DJ and a club promoter. I also discovered myself and realised just what I was capable of. The only thing was – this relied on quite heavy use of Class A drugs. I have no problem with that, it’s just when I went back to my normal life during the week, I could still barely function and found life a real struggle.
This then lead me onto a 15 year journey of self-discovery, my own little mission to find myself in the real world without the use of any stimulants. This mission led me to learn what I teach today, as well as many other amazing skills and techniques – many of which I’ve combined to create the system that I now use when working with people.
2) Tell us a bit about your work and the awesome ways you help people.
My work is quite different to most stuff out there. The thing that makes it different is that it’s not based in the world of thought, but in the world of feelings and emotions. So in a broad sense, I don’t deal with what is in people’s heads, I deal with how they feel about what is in their head.
This is what makes this work so powerful, as the person doesn’t need to even know or remember what caused the challenge in the first place. As long as they can feel it, then we can usually get in there and clear the emotional attachment to whatever it is.
This often provides them with much more clarity so we can then dig deeper and find the stories and beliefs that may be trapped underneath it all. Once we are able to shift those stories/beliefs, they are usually free of whatever it was that was holding them back.
Working on the feelings rather than the thoughts is the key. This is what makes the process of what I do so powerful and so deep. The other thing that I love is that once you clear a particular event, then it’s gone for good. None of the stuff I’ve worked on has ever come back, I’ve just been left free to get on with my life.
3) What does a discovery session with you entail?
The discovery session is actually a discovery session for the both of us. It’s for you to discover what I do and how that relates to whatever you would like to work on within yourself. It’s also for me to discover what you are up against, what methods you may have already tried and what did and didn’t work for you. It’s also for the both of us to see if we are a good fit to work together. This is probably the most important part, as there needs to be a mutual level of trust for the process to work properly.
4) What kinds of people would benefit from working with you?
Anyone who feels like they are being held back in life. This can include people with obvious things like anxiety, depression, fears, phobias, grief, guilt, shame etc. However, it can also include people who have physical problems that might not make sense to them at the time (i.e. pain in their chest or frequent headaches). I’ve had many people show up with what seems like an emotional problem, and once we’ve shifted that issue, their physical problems have turned around too.
In addition to people who feel held back, the process can also be incredibly powerful for people who are already doing really well, but want to unlock even more potential.
I do a lot of work with entrepreneurs and business owners who want to take their business and life to the next level.
5) Do you have experience working with people who have things like anxiety/depression?
I personally suffered from both for over 30 years, so it’s very close to my heart. I’ve worked with 100’s of people over the last four years and there’s something I’ve noticed that’s common to them all. No matter what people come to me with, be it anxiety, depression, grief, anger, phobias, etc, the thing that’s common in every person I’ve worked with is that the emotional system is overwhelmed in some way. The other thing that I’ve noticed is that when you clear out that overwhelm and change the beliefs and meanings that are underneath the emotion, people transform very quickly.
6) What can people expect to experience during/after a session with you?
Everyone is so different, so you never really know how they might be effected. People frequently comment that they felt really safe and supported, that they had amazing clarity around things they couldn’t see before. They are often surprised by how easy the techniques are, how painless the process is, and how easily they let their deepest struggles go.
People also often comment on the fact that it was fun, even when dealing with really horrible stuff. I deliberately keep things light and fun if possible. I’ve found that when people approach their stuff with lightness, they are much more likely to get the shift they are looking for. Plus, it puts them at ease and they relax more, which again is conducive to getting the best results.
7) What if someone hates opening up about their past/struggles but wants help?
If this is the case, then what I do would be perfect for them, as it’s not about going over the past, it’s about resolving the feelings that are attached to the memories of the past. I’ve been able to help clients who told me absolutely nothing about their struggles. I had no idea what they were dealing with inside and I was still able to help them remove that attachment to the feelings around what they were struggling with.
I usually start the sessions working on something light and we gradually work to clear the deeper stuff. I find that when we do this they’re able to then talk about the deeper stuff, as it no longer has the emotional connection it once did. But like I’ve said, if ultimately they don’t want to share, then that is fine – it can still work.
8) What makes you believe so deeply in Human Software Engineering?
The thing that makes me believe so deeply in the work that I do is that it COMPLETELY transformed my own life. When I look back at how I used to be on a daily basis, I barely know myself. When I’m telling some parts of my story I feel like I’m talking about someone else.
Doing this work has changed my life in ways I couldn’t even imagine when I started. To give you an idea, when I first started working with Tom – he was so blown away with my results that he asked me to keep a record so he could do a case study. So here’s what changed for me in the first three months:
● Lack of self-consciousness
● Increased self confidence
● Increased self Esteem
● Stopped worrying
● Lack of resistance
● Lost my defensiveness
● Reduced resistance to change
● More motivated
● Noise in head stopped
● Increased sense of peace
● More content with life
● Clearer thinking
● Less judgmental towards myself and others
● Much more patient
|● More self-aware
● The world and people showing up differently
● Now trust my intuition
● Much more positive
● Self-assured and self-reliant
● Looking after myself better
● Trust myself
● I now love myself
● More open minded
● More energy
● Increased sense of connectedness
● Don’t beat myself up
● Increased sense of freedom
● Able to be vulnerable
● Less needy
That’s just for me in the first three months – let alone how I’ve transformed in the last four years. Plus, that isn’t to mention the 100’s of transformations that I’ve seen happen in the people that I’ve had the amazing pleasure to work with.
I basically spent 12 years and over £40k training, going on seminars, reading books, listening to audios and looking for the answers. This technique is the simplest and more importantly, the most self-empowering system I’ve ever come across.
It sounds cheesy, but it’s the best gift I’ve ever received and it’s also the best gift that I now get to give.
9) What has been the most powerful part of this journey for you?
The event that stands out to me, and the thing that changed my life took place at the end of one of our Unlimited Life retreats in Cyprus, which was an incredible four day event with some amazing people. On the last night we decided to do an exercise where each person took it in turns to sit on the hot seat, then the others took it in turns to tell them what they had seen in them over the event. Once they had all finished, something happened that I wasn’t expecting. I was asked to sit on the hot seat.
They then took it in turns telling me how what we had done had completely changed their lives and what they saw in me over the week. OMG – it completely blew my mind and without a doubt changed my life.
10) What can someone expect from their experience working with you on a PM retreat?
What people can typically expect on a retreat is to go very deep to get clarity and a new level of freedom around whatever is holding them back. I work on a lot of retreats and what I’ve noticed is that when people are away from the distractions of their normal life, and immersed in the experience of the event, they have a lot less resistance and tend to go a lot deeper, which yields even better results for them.
If you’re ready to level-up and make some huge changes in your life, then a week with Tim on the Prime Mover Retreat might be just what you need! Here is what some of the retreat goers have to say about their experience working with Tim:
Tim saved my marriage and my psychologist discharged me afterwards saying she’d never seen such a positive transformation. After working with Tim, for the first time in my life I was comfortable in my own skin. I could live in the moment and the incessant chatter in my head was silenced. His techniques should be taught in schools to young people. Truly life changing. – Jane
Tim is magic. I didn’t know what to expect from our session and even now I am not sure I can actually describe it. However, what I do know is that the experience with Tim has left me in such a good place and I feel like I have had a massive weight lifted from me that will never come back. – Amy
After years of struggling with anxiety, I went to see Tim for help. He provided me with the space and support to face my inner fears and resolve those emotions I have suppressed for so many years. It was like someone had turned on a light, the fear lifted and calm came over me. He helped me so much with how I think and how I feel. He also taught me how to stop any further emotions from getting trapped. He’s a real genius. – Lisa
