In my younger years, I always kept fit and healthy by going to the gym and doing jiu jitsu. At 27-years-old however, I was rushed into coronary care and diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy, as well as an abnormal heart rhythm.
Over the last 10 years I have used my heart condition as an excuse for all of the meals I had out, alcohol I drank, and weight I was piling on. By Christmas 2015 I had reached my heaviest weight of 16 st 12 lbs.
My wife was scrolling through Facebook one day around that time when she saw an advert for the 21 Day Transformation program at Prime Mover. She was also looking to lose a bit of weight, so decided to sign herself up. To my surprise, when I came home from work that night that I discovered she’d signed me up as well. To say I was unhappy would be an understatement, I didn’t speak to her all night!
It wasn’t until she showed me one of Paul’s videos about excuses being BS that I realized making excuses is what I had been doing for the last 10 years. I slowly came around to the idea of going, but didn’t believe that in such a short period of time I would see any results. How wrong was I?!
After sticking to the meal plan and attending sessions for 21 days I managed to lose 1 st 11 lbs and inches off my belly. I’ve also completely stopped using my asthma inhaler, which I used to need up to 10 times per day before joining! I received constant support from the PM private Facebook group, Paul’s videos and messages, as well as the trainers and other members, which kept me motivated throughout the program.
It really had changed my life; I cannot thank my wife enough for signing me up. I’m eating well, sleeping better, and I have so much more energy. I have a better understanding of the choices I make now and how to live a healthier lifestyle.
