Congratulations to our lovely member, Kate, for winning our June Member of the Month award! From her unwavering determination to her amazing attitude, she is a pleasure to have in sessions. Since joining us in February, Kate has lost two stone and gained an all-around better mindset.
Check out her inspiring story below…
How have you changed since beginning with Prime Mover?
Physically, I’ve lost around two stone and let’s just say – I need to go clothes shopping!
Mentally, I feel less stressed and generally in a better mood most of the time.
What has been your biggest health/fitness related achievement since joining PM?
Honestly, when I first started at Prime Mover I was at the point where going up and down the stairs a few times would make me out of breath. NOT ANYMORE!
What is your favourite exercise and why?
Does anyone really have a favourite?! I like using the TRX, I’m not really sure why if I’m honest, probably because I feel like I’m good at it ha-ha!
What is one thing you couldn’t do when you started that you’re awesome at now?
PUSH UPS! I wouldn’t say I’m awesome at them, but I can definitely do a lot more of them now than I could at the start. And I can even do a few without being on my knees!
If you had to describe PM in 3 words they would be:
Tough! Friendly and, Motivating.
What is the most valuable thing PM has taught you?
There’s always time for one more rep ha-ha.
What keeps you motivated to keep coming to the gym so consistently?
If I don’t come regularly I’m a right grumpy sod! But seeing the results that I have achieved so far pushes me to get up and go. I want to keep pushing towards my goals!
What is your most memorable moment at PM?
My first ever session with Danny! I thought I was going to be sick!
What is your biggest health/fitness goal at the moment?
My main goal is to lose some serious weight. When I stepped on the scales before joining PM, the number I saw scared me! I’m slowly getting down to the size and weight I see in my head.
Kate attends 3-4 sessions at our Meadowhall location each week, however she doesn’t have a car. So in order to get to sessions she has to walk a distance to her closest tram stop, take the tram to Centretrainment, then walk another distance to PM1. How motivating is that?
The next time you might be thinking that you can’t be bothered to hop in your car and drive down to your class, remember there are people who go the extra mile (literally!) just to get their sessions in.
…and you can too! Book your next session NOW 🙂
